✓ Profile verified by KEMA · October 14, 2026
Dëna Babe, born Rodena Ladouceur, is a Haitian singer from Port-au-Prince. Raised in a Christian family, she began singing in church and developed her musical abilities with encouragement from her father, who was a guitarist and singer.
She made one of her first major public appearances during the 2011 Digicel Stars competition. She subsequently performed with local groups, including Option and the all-female group Echo, while developing experience in live performance, carnival music and studio recording.
After returning to music as a solo performer, Dëna gained wider recognition through her collaborations with WID on “M Pa Gen Lòt” and “Lanmou Pa Sifi.” Her 2024 collaboration “Ankò,” featuring D-Perfect, became an important breakthrough in her career.
Her music combines modern konpa, zouk and R&B with a soft but expressive vocal style. Songs including “San Tit” and “Lavi Enposib” also demonstrate her interest in personal storytelling, resilience, women’s dignity and emotional recovery.
