Our mission

KEMA recognizes excellence within the Haitian Music Industry (HMI). Our mission is to ensure a fair, transparent voting process that celebrates the diversity and creativity of Haitian music across the world.
KEMA la pou rekonèt ekselans nan endistri Mizik Ayisyen an (HMI). Misyon nou se asire yon pwosesis vòt ki jis, transparan, ki selebre divèsite ak kreyativite nan mizik ayisyen nan tout mond lan.

Our history

Konpaevents started KEMA in 2025 to recognise the work of our Haitian artists and celebrate their achievements.

Who we are

KEMA (KE Music Awards) is an award for Haitian music and everyone who keeps it alive — artists, bands, writers, composers, producers, video directors and event organisers.

The Numbers Nominate - The Jury Decides !

Step 1

The Numbers Nominate

From October 2025 to September 2026, we count how much the music is streamed on platforms like YouTube Music, Apple Music and Spotify. Those numbers choose the five nominees.

Step 2

The Jury Decides

A jury of 100 ranks the five nominees. First place = 5 points, down to fifth = 1 point. The most points wins the category.

Step 3

Everyone sees the numbers

After a winner is announced we publish that category's voting ledger — how many judges voted, how many points each nominee earned.
