Teddy Hashtag, born Ted-Harry Beaufort, is a Haitian singer and songwriter associated with the new generation of modern konpa. Before concentrating on music, he performed with a dance group called Hashtag, whose name later became part of his artistic identity.
His audience began growing through covers and short performances shared on TikTok. He launched his recording career in 2022 with “Ou Mare’m” and subsequently attracted wider attention with songs such as “Finalman,” “M Pa Fasil,” “Lanmou Fè Pam” and “Saw Vle M Baw.”
Teddy’s music blends modern konpa with Afro-pop, R&B, pop and urban rhythms. His self-titled EP arrived in 2024, followed by his debut studio album, READY, in 2025. The album explores love, faith, disappointment, resilience and personal growth. Collaborations with Rutshelle Guillaume, Danola, L-Won, Hendrix Kidd and Wendyyy have helped establish him as one of the emerging voices in contemporary Haitian music.
