IBiography

Joseph Zenny Jr., professionally known as Tjo Zenny, T-Joe or Ti Joe, is a Haitian singer, songwriter, actor and entertainer born in Jacmel and raised in Port-au-Prince.

In the late 1990s, he helped establish Konpa Kreyòl with musicians including David Dupoux, Stanley Hérissé and Lhomann Jean. The group became known for combining modern konpa with humor, social commentary and relationship-based songwriting. Tjo appeared on the albums Si’w Vle’m, Sa K Te Gen Tan Gen La and Gen Gen Geng.

Following Konpa Kreyòl’s separation in 2005, Tjo founded Kreyòl La. As its lead vocalist, songwriter and public face, he guided the group through albums including Viktwa, Evolution, Invictus, Domination and Emotion. Kreyòl La became widely identified as “Djazz Lajenès La” because of its connection with younger audiences.

Tjo has also developed an acting career through films such as I Love You Anne, We Love You Anne and Bracage en série. He later founded Apache World Music as a platform for developing Haitian artists.
