Jean Ernst Lafortune, professionally known as T Pachou, is a Haitian keyboardist, singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and sound engineer. He is one of the principal figures responsible for Gabel’s musical direction and studio production.
T Pachou joined Gabel in 2010 and helped develop the group’s modern, melodic approach to konpa. His work emphasizes vocal harmony, romantic storytelling, polished keyboard arrangements and a carefully structured live sound.
In addition to playing keyboards and directing music, T Pachou performs as a vocalist and writes songs. His featured recordings include “Bèl Bagay,” “Kisa Pou’m Bay,” “Pa Ka Fè Pitit,” “Solo Mio” and “Kle Paradi.” He has also worked as a producer and recording engineer on projects by Gabel and other Haitian artists.
