Roody Delpe is a Haitian singer, keyboardist, songwriter and producer. He first became known as a musician with K-Rizma and has also been associated with System Band as a keyboard player.
In 2012, Roody joined former Nu-Krezi singer James “James-C” Clairmont to create the New York-based band Baz La. The group introduced songs including “Wet” and “Ou Poko Gen Moun.” Roody received songwriting and production credit for “Wet.”
He later developed a solo career combining direct konpa, gouyad, Afro-influenced music, reggae and Haitian rap. His collaborations include recordings with Baky, Roody Roodboy, Fatima Altieri, Kenny Desmangles, Melly Sings, Steve J. Bryan, Queen Bee and Flav.
In 2023, he released his principal solo album, Roodyverse. Its title reflects the musical diversity of the project, which combines romantic songs, dance music and collaborations from across contemporary Haitian music.
